What options does Defy Medical offer for TRT?

Back to FAQs

Defy Medical offers many TRT options to help patients create customized plans that work for them.

The most common way to take Testosterone is via injection. These injections are typically self-administered subcutaneously (into the fatty layer of the skin) 1-3 times per week.

Testosterone injections come in the form of different esters. Esters are bound to the Testosterone molecule and create a timed release.

Without esters, Testosterone would enter the bloodstream all at once, and levels would rise and fall sharply.

Testosterone esters include:

  • Testosterone Cypionate – Absorbs in about a week, typically injected 1-2 times per week
  • Testosterone Propionate – Absorbs in 3 days or so, typically injected every 2-3 days.
  • Testosterone Enanthate – Absorbed in roughly 4-5 days, typically injected every 5 days.
  • Testosterone Combinations – Many men take Testosterone with an ester combination like Cypionate/Propionate for multiple benefits

Other forms of Testosterone available through Defy Medical include:

  • Topical gels and creams – Typically applied daily
  • Implantable pellets – Typically implanted every 3-4 months
  • Nasal application – Applied to the nasal cavity, typically used in combination with other Testosterone forms
  • Oral Testosterone – Including capsules, troches, and sublingual tablets

Defy Medical also offers access to supplemental medication as appropriate. The most common auxiliary medications are HCG to support fertility and aromatase inhibitors to control Estrogen levels. Not all patients require these medications.
