What happens if I miss a follow-up appointment or lab deadline?

If you miss a follow-up appointment or lab panel, your ability to order medications through the Patient Portal may be placed on hold until your labs and consultation are completed. This is to protect your health.

Follow-up appointments and lab work are a required part of your care plan with Defy Medical. Regular testing allows your provider to monitor your hormone levels, assess your overall health, and make sure your protocol is working safely and effectively.

Getting back on track is straightforward:

  1. Order your required lab panel through the Patient Portal.
  2. Complete your blood draw.
  3. Book your follow-up consultation once your lab results are available.

Your provider will review your updated labs, discuss any changes to your symptoms or goals, and reauthorize your prescriptions.

If you’re unsure which labs you need or where you stand in your care schedule, log into the Patient Portal and visit the My Labs section. You’ll be able to see the tests your provider recommends along with their due dates, and you can place the tests in your cart to complete your order.

Note: You can book a consultation without your required lab work. However, your provider is unlikely to prescribe medications without recent lab work on file.  We recommend completing your blood testing to ensure you can access your medication.
