What happens during a PRP procedure?

When you arrive for your PRP appointment at the Defy Medical Tampa clinic, first our provider will consult with you to review your lab work, answer any questions, and ensure PRP injections are right for you.

Once you’re ready to move forward, the steps are as follows:

1. A blood sample is taken and separated into platelet-rich plasma.
2. A numbing agent is applied to the injection site to minimize discomfort.
3. Once the numbing takes effect, the PRP is injected throughout the treatment area.
