What Are contraindications for Anabolic Androgenic Therapy?

Defy Medical evaluates each patient individually. However, contraindications (reasons not to take Androgenic Anabolic medications) may include:

  • Prostate cancer or breast cancer
  • Severe cardiovascular disease or recent cardiac events
  • Severe liver dysfunction
  • Significantly elevated hematocrit or blood clotting disorders
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or attempting to conceive
  • Severe kidney disease
  • Hypercalcemia (elevated calcium levels)

Your provider will review your complete medical history and current lab work to determine whether anabolic therapy is safe and appropriate for you.
