Can I pause or take a break from my treatment?
At Defy Medical, we don’t require subscriptions, and you only pay for the treatments you receive. Patients can decide to halt or pause treatment at any time without paying unnecessary fees.
From a clinical standpoint, however, pausing treatment can be complicated. We do not recommend stopping any medication before speaking with your provider to discuss potential side effects and other issues.
Your provider can advise you on the safest way to pause based on your specific protocol. Some medications should be tapered rather than stopped abruptly, and your provider can guide you through that process to minimize discomfort as much as possible.
For patients who wish to stop hormone therapy, it’s important to keep in mind that your hormone imbalance symptoms will likely return. For men, our providers offer a plan to restart your Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Testicular (HPT) axis, which can be disrupted by Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT).
When you’re ready to resume care, contact Defy Medical at 813-445-7342 or [email protected] to get back on track. Depending on how long you’ve been away, updated lab work may be required before restarting your protocol. Your provider will review your current health status and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
